Surf Clubs Sent a Life Saver

Posted by on Monday, September 17, 2007 (PST)

An amendment I put up at the recent Council meeting will see the grant for equipment maintenance to each of the four local Surf Life Saving Clubs increased from $3,700 to $10,000. The Surf Life Saving Clubs are an asset to this community and deserve to be supported.

An amendment I put up at the recent Council meeting will see the grant for equipment maintenance to each of the four local Surf Life Saving Clubs increased from $3,700 to $10,000.

The Wauchope/Bonny, Port Macquarie, Tacking Point and North Haven Surf Life Saving Clubs are an asset to this community and deserve to be supported.

In addition to saving the lives of locals and tourists on our beaches, the Surf Clubs do a wonderful job providing fun and constructive activities for young people.

The contribution of the Surf Clubs to the community is very much appreciated and this extra money will assist them to buy the equipment they need.
